Video: Polished Concrete Floor And Wooden Interior Accentuating The Eclectic Decor

Today, the editorial staff of Deavita.fr is pleased to present you a welcoming apartment where tradition meets modernity. Located in Ahmedabad, India, this two-room home had been completely renovated to turn into an oasis in the heart of the big city. A completely open space, functional furniture and a successful color palette make this house a real gem where life is good. There is, however, one element that strikes us from the start and which gives MD Appartment a timeless character. These include the polished concrete floor which blends harmoniously into the whole.
Polished concrete floor in perfect unity with the whole

Extending over an area of 67 m 2, the small apartment was originally divided into a few rooms. But to meet the desires of the owners, the architects removed the interior walls as well as all the doors (except that of the bathroom) in order to design a completely open and airy space. However, to delimit the different living areas, specialists have relied on visual separation and in particular the floor covering which comes in three types: polished concrete, tiles and wood.

Offering a perfectly smooth surface and adapting to all types of interior decoration, from the most modern to the most rustic, polished concrete harmonizes as well with wood as with tiles and creates a decor that is right on trend.. Easy to maintain, this decorative concrete not only brings timeless character to the space but is also available in a wide range of finishes and colors.

At first glance, the combination of materials in the "MD Apartment" seems a bit odd and messy, but indeed it is this which gives charm to the loft. The polished concrete floor brings a refined touch to the interior, the tiles symbolize exoticism while the wood introduces unparalleled warmth. This results in an eclectic decor with a surprisingly harmonious appearance.
