Video: Instagram App Disables Likes, Comments And Views

After much speculation, the Instagram app officially says goodbye to likes! The social network announced yesterday the removal of "likes", comments on posts and the number of views on videos. A test was first carried out in Canada followed by six other countries including Australia, Italy, Japan, Brazil and New Zealand. This initiative is oriented towards the mental health of young people and aims to reduce stress.
Instagram app officially removes likes

Research by the Royal Society for Public Health has proclaimed Instagram the worst social network because it influences the mental health of young people in the UK. Another study found that a large number of people only prefer to share content that is likely to receive a lot of likes and comments.
According to an official statement, the people in charge of the Instagram app want it to be a place where people feel comfortable and express themselves without worry. This is because users will not be able to see the number of likes or comments on other people's posts. However, they will still be able to consult their own meter.
Instagram will gradually continue to deactivate these functions in the coming months, but we do not know the exact date that will mark the end of this experiment.
