The Amazon Forest: Leonardo DiCaprio Helps Fight Fires



Very moved by the latest dramatic events in South America, Leonardo DiCaprio decided to act on his own scale. The "Earth Alliance" foundation, created last July by the actor himself, has launched an urgent fund to save the Amazon rainforest and has already donated $ 5 million to help in the fight against the flames that are currently ravaging the Amazon region. The star of Quentin Tarantino's latest feature film didn't miss the chance to invite his subscribers to join him by making a donation.

Committed to the environment for several years now, Mr. DiCaprio regularly uses his public notoriety to raise public awareness of climate change via social networks. What's more, last week, he had already expressed himself on the fires affecting the Amazon rainforest on his Instagram account, alarming that the green lung of the planet is on fire!

The foundation also announced that the funds will be distributed directly to local partners and indigenous communities protecting the Amazon.
