This weekend, the mega star Maître Gims came close to the drama! On vacation in Corsica, the French rapper and his friends had to escape from a burning yacht after a fire on board started. After this mishap, the rapper came out of silence on Snapchat to reassure his followers that all is well.

Between the release of his new clip with Sting, the promotion of his album Black Belt and his concert in Paris, which will take place on September 28, Maître Gims has a fairly busy schedule lately. To recharge the batteries, the singer took a few days of well-deserved break in Corsica.

According to information from Corse Matin, the 24-meter boat, which Gims had rented this Sunday (August 25) with three of his friends, suddenly caught fire. Surprised by the latter and with the help of a semi-rigid, all were able to reach the shore unharmed. Once on the scene, six firefighters fought the blaze, which was likely caused by engine damage. The French Navy, for its part, sent an anti-pollution ship which should arrive there Monday morning. Loaded with around 3000 liters of fuel, the boat could turn into a small ecological disaster!
