Imagined and designed by Tegnestuen LOKAL, TK-33 is an extraordinary house located in Tikøb, Denmark and whose exterior contrasts with the interior in an original way. At first glance, the decorative cladding in overlapping tiles seems gray and dark but when you cross the threshold, the interior decoration offers a bright and super welcoming atmosphere. In addition, a light wood terrace warms the facade by bringing it a touch of freshness. Stay with us since our team has prepared a virtual walk for you through this house where life is good!

For your information, the basic idea was to create a house that combines modern construction, durable materials and classic shapes. And all this should be in full harmony with the special wishes of the owners. Thus, the architects built the building in the shape of a cross which creates a number of small outdoor terraces energizing the facade.

And in this vein, discover above one of the wooden terraces inviting you to relax. Built from light wood, it contrasts with the decorative gray siding to create an original contrast. Despite the simple layout, the terrace offers optimal comfort to its residents and also benefits from some fresh touches thanks to the large flower pots. In addition, the panoramic windows on the terrace let natural light bathe the living room which we will present to you in the following paragraph.

Unlike the decorative gray siding, the interior of the house is not at all so dark. Quite the contrary! Although there are grayish tones, especially in the kitchen, the rooms are spacious and bathed in natural light. In the second photo above, you can see the bright living room with a cozy and elegant decor. In addition, the wooden flooring gives the interior a super warm look.

Moreover, the matt black kitchen is undoubtedly the jewel of the interior of the TK-33. Taking advantage of a design look, it gives a dynamic aspect to the whole without overloading the decor.

In perfect harmony with the waxed concrete, the matte black creates a super sophisticated atmosphere in order to meet the desires and preferences of the inhabitants. However, the designers have not neglected the lighting which is intended to be very well suited to the whole. And to increase the feeling of comfort, a kitchen service was introduced.
The open and bright space contributes to the welcoming atmosphere while contrasting with the decorative cladding

Indeed, the kitchen is in the center of the "cross" which we spoke about above. The gourmet room is open to the dining room as well as to the living room which allows owners to benefit from an airy and spacious decor. Wall paintings, touches of greenery, comfortable upholstered furniture and a large glass coffee table adorn the rooms to give them a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Moreover, the large windows allow the light to illuminate the various living spaces in a natural way.

However, an extraordinary combination invites itself into the cozy bedroom: gray tones combined not only with white elements but also with wooden ones. In this way, the designers have succeeded in creating an arrangement that is simple but elegant and welcoming at the same time.

Once again, we transport ourselves outside to discover another gray wooden terrace which is in full harmony with the decorative cladding in overlapping tiles. The architects have chosen the furniture for this terrace very well, which is more of a veranda. White planters shelter all kinds of greenery giving a boost to the outdoor living space.

For the realization of the TK-33 project, the architects claim that they focused on the replacement of the typical elements of the Danish house. So, they decided to opt for alternative materials that are more respectful of the environment and that will be in harmony with the surrounding landscape.
