Before proceeding to the recipes, we cannot miss a few interesting facts about artichoke. Do you know that in the past, this vegetable was forbidden to women because it is an aphrodisiac product? Fortunately, this restriction no longer exists. In the 20th century in the United States a competition "The Queen of the Artichoke" was created and the first who won it was Marilyn Monroe.

As we just mentioned above, artichoke is a vegetable rich in polyphenols. Native to North Africa, it is a good source of vitamin B3, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus and copper. Its strengths are really numerous, because this vegetable is also a high source of dietary fiber and vitamin C. So, except for culinary use, artichoke is also used in medicine. Are you already convinced that it's finally time to incorporate it into your menu? Start with these easy artichoke dip recipes.
